Early access We're opening invites in batches

Every project in one place — with an AI that's actually read it.

Documents, messages, to-dos, files and dates, organised by project instead of scattered across five tools. Then an assistant that knows all of it, so it can draft the client update, proofread the doc, and turn the thread into a task list.

The everyday problem

The work is fine. Finding it is the problem.

The brief is in a doc, the decision is in chat, the file is in a drive, the deadline is in someone's calendar, and the reason you did it that way is in nobody's head at all.

Five tools per project

Each one holds a third of the story. Nobody can see the whole thing without opening all of them.

Context lives in people

When the person who knows is on holiday, the project stops. Onboarding takes a fortnight.

Admin eats the week

Status updates, chasing feedback, writing the same summary four times for four audiences.

The AI part

An assistant that has read the whole project.

Not a chatbot bolted onto the sidebar. It has the context of your documents, threads, to-dos and files — and it can act on them.

  • Ask anything about a project and get an answer with links to the source
  • Draft replies, client updates and docs that sound like you wrote them
  • Agents that create to-dos, write documents and schedule events on request
  • Runs on Claude or GPT — pick per project, or bring your own API key

Questions people ask

When can I actually use it?
We're building in the open and opening access in batches. Everyone on the waitlist gets an invite in the order they joined, and founding members get in before the public launch. Join the list and we'll email you the moment your batch opens — no other emails, ever.
Is this meant to replace Slack?
No. Chat is great for right now; it's terrible for anything that needs to outlive the afternoon. Projects.chat is where the decisions, documents and commitments live, and most teams keep both — with project activity posted into the channels that want it.
Can I bring my projects over from another tool?
Yes. There are importers for Basecamp, Trello, Asana and Notion, a plain CSV importer for to-do lists, and an API for anything unusual. Tell us what you're moving from when you sign up and we'll make sure your migration is a smooth one.
Is there a mobile app?
Projects.chat works properly on a phone browser — it's built responsive, not shrunk, so everything you can do at a desk you can do on a train. Native iOS and Android apps follow.
Can I self-host it?
Self-hosting and single-tenant deployments are handled case by case rather than as a checkout option. If running it on your own infrastructure is a hard requirement, get in touch and we'll work out what you need.
Which AI model does it use?
Claude or GPT — your choice, set per project. The default is a fast Claude model that handles everyday drafting and questions. On the Unlimited plan you can bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI key and pay the provider directly instead of spending credits.
What exactly is an AI credit?
One credit is one AI action: a question answered, a paragraph proofread, a thread summarised, or a single step an agent takes. As a rough guide, 2,000 credits a month is heavy daily use for one person. You'll always see what's left, and nothing stops working when you run out — the AI just pauses until the next month or you top up.
Do you train AI models on my projects?
No. Your content goes to the model provider only to answer the specific request you made, and it isn't used to train anyone's models — not ours, and not the provider's under the agreements we operate on. Where providers offer zero-retention endpoints, we use them.
Can the AI change my stuff without asking?
Agents propose, you approve. Before an agent creates a to-do list, edits a document or schedules an event, it shows you exactly what it's about to do. You can also switch the AI off entirely — per project, or for the whole account.
